A unique local spring roll found only in Cebu. Ngohiong has a cult following among cebuanos from students, working class and the upper classes due to its affordability and taste. Influenced by early Chinese traders spring rolls, Ngohiong is made out of local sourced ingredients such as jicama, heart of palm, onions, garlic and five spiced powder.
This local Cebuano street food is readily available in every street or corners like restaurants, stalls or small eateries serving it hot and fresh. This is typically paired with puso or hanging rice along with either sweet/spicy sauce.
